About Our Founder
Herman Bennett was a long-term resident of Camarillo, CA wishing to end animal suffering due to Over Population of Cats and Dogs and in most cases resulting in euthanization of both.
Consequently, the Herman Bennett Foundation was established in 1996, a private 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit charitable organization.
Mr. Bennett was a sales representative in the garment industry for years, served in the Military, never married, and dedicated his life to saving his earnings to develop and purchase many assets to fulfill his dream of ending the pet over-population problem.
Herman Bennett was inspired to resolve this issue through spay/neuter voucher programs and educational programs, reaching grammar schools to have the children reach and educate their parents on the importance of spaying and neutering cats and dogs.
The Herman Bennett Foundation had become more active upon Mr. Bennett’s death in 2003 and has made great strides toward fulfilling his dream.
